Certified Professional Horticulturist, and owner of Savvy Garden & Home in downtown Arlington. I am married with two beautiful daughters, Emma and Jaylyn. We moved to Arlington in 2018 and absolutely love the community and small town feel. You may have seen my creative skills at work in containers around town, like Moe's coffee stands, Moe's Lounge, S&S Roofing, Hometown Candle Co., Celebration Gift Baskets, and Beautiful Skin By Lynn.

My passion for gardening begun as weekend job at the age of 15, where I worked at a local nursery in Port Angeles, Washington pulling weeds and organizing nursery stock. After high school I begun to work more hours, I learned many plants, I started designing and creating custom containers. The nursery specialized in moss baskets and made hundreds a year. I started teaching the classes that were offered to customers on Saturday mornings throughout the spring. I felt like a natural, I loved being up in the front helping others create these giant blooming masterpieces. I attended Lake Washington Technical College and received a degree in Environmental Horticulture. After receiving my degree I was challenged to a test on my plant and design knowledge, where I received my credited title of Certified Professional Horticulturist.

 

I love all things plants, and people too, so to be able to share my passion with others in a permanent location is a dream come true! Every plant is hand selected and sourced from backyard greenhouses to large growers here in the Pacific Northwest. We’ve cultivated friendships with growers that give us a unique advantage.
